I bought this Samsung A35 from Takealot brand new, but after using it for some time, it suddenly stopped accepting my SIM card and displayed "SIM 1 Not Allowed." After extensive troubleshooting with Samsung support—including testing multiple SIM cards, resetting network settings, factory resetting the device, and checking every software-related solution—we were unable to resolve the issue. The phone appears to have been SIM locked or blacklisted, despite being sold as a new device. This has left me with a phone that cannot be used to make calls or access mobile data, and it has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I'm not saying every Samsung A35 has this issue, but this was my experience with this specific device. If you're considering buying one, I'd recommend checking the device's network and IMEI status as soon as you receive it and keeping all your proof of purchase. I hope my experience helps other buyers avoid the same situation.

I would just like to say ,Thank you. I have been looking for a direct replacement for my trusty old phone ,hauwei smart 2019 which has finally let me down.i have been looking and looking and found this perfect samsung a35. It is so good ,and has evry thing I need and wanted . It's very well built and it's easy to use and get around. The transfer process was easy , and everything seems perfect . I am so happy , with my purchase and I hope j get years of service out of this a35 as I did my old phone , as I don't change phones unless I have too . I am very happy with all the phones features and build quality. I have spent a bit extra on a very durable and rugged case ,as I work outdoors . My only very small complaint is I could not get my old watch to work with phone ,so had to buy a samsung watch. Got it very cheap as a renewed item . I hope the security backup is as long as advertised, and I will be very happy.

I bought this phone in 2024. I'm a big Samsung fan and I've used the brand all my life. I noticed after a few months of purchase that the phone had a weak battery. it's overall still in good condition in 2026 but the battery just buldged up. the phone randomly just powers off out of nowhere becoming completely unreliable. I'm an unhappy customer. I understand that there are many factors that affect battery health but I've been very careful with the phone using oem charger.
