It's the fasted hard drive I've had, it connects within seconds, and the motor is quiet. It's still early days so I'll edit this if there's something else to note

So far this is great for my storage needs without the need of a separate power source.

the drive is very sensitive to being plugged in and used. I copied about 1.5tb and it disappeared with an error, which needs recovery software now.

You can never go wrong buying Seagate Portable Externals. They last forever. Very Happy with my purchase.
