Western Digital WD My Passport Ultra 2TB Blue

I needed a good backup drive to protect my data. I found this to be reliable and easy to use. I back up my computer every night and it does the job well.

Really disappointed. The unit stopped working even though I am very careful. It was under warranty and I tried to create an RMA case to have it replaced however WD has appalling customer service. Could not create the return request because of issues with the WD website RMA page.

The Hard Drive came out great. Definitely needed one of these.

After problems with Seagate products I bought two WD My Passports, one for use with Time Machine and the second for Bombich Carbon Copy Cloner, I had immediate problems setting up the Bombich CCC and returned that WD My Passport to Amazon today. The WD My Passport that I was using for Time Machine worked fine for several weeks but now has failed to back up for two days and it is too late to return it to Best Buy. I shall certainly never buy another WD product and, as Seagate products seem to be just as bad, I don't know where to turn for a reliable external hard drive. Are there any out there ?

Awesome external hard drive! Very small and easy to use. Best part is no separate power cord, only one USB.
