Tivoli Audio Model SUB Subwoofer

I would agree with anyone here who truly loves this little system, the model 2. it does sound good without the sub woofer. But it sounds spectacular with it. I know people who have very expensive systems, who still find something charming about the sound, which comes from this unit with the sub woofer. As with my other sub woofers, I don't turn it up very high. I'm not a guy who likes anything boomy. . I use a subwoofer only to tighten things up and to add color. I have never had this subwoofer over half power. There is more than enough woof, for it to do it's job, with this little system. he where is the model one table radio. I bought four of them and everyone of them developed tuning issues. The model 2, which I bought soon after, does not have any issues.

This is a perfect match for my Sony SRS-Z01000 Active Speaker System. It's a very good way of enhancing already excellent performance. The bass is accurate, fast, enough deep and gives greater definition and solidity to the sound. If you are looking for a 20 watt subwoofer with more HiFi but without or with moderate Loudness effect, this is a very good option.

Adds that extra subtle dimension to the Model Two I bought and really shines as part of the Tivoli set up.

Expensive but saves me the hassle of figuring out something else to use confidently with my radio, and I figure I'm buying Tivoli reliability and longevity. TIme will tell if that was a good decision or not. It's good for its size and provides a much-needed support for the Tivoli radio. The sound is now good enough that I felt it justified buying the painfully expensive CD player too, and running the CD signal through the radio speaker plus the subwoofer. You have to take seriously the manual's advice about positioning this unit (and the radio as well) in order to get good sound. If you don't, you might as well buy a 75 dollar Sony boomlet boxlet.
