De Behringer MA 400 MICROMON is een compacte hoofdtelefoonversterker en persoonlijke monitormixer voor studio en podium. Het apparaat heeft een microfooningang met een impedantie van ongeveer 2 kΩ, een monitoringang met circa 10 dB versterking en een frequentiebereik van 15 Hz tot 25 kHz voor het mikanaal en tot 80 kHz voor het monitorkanaal. De hoofdtelefoonuitgang levert tot 60 mW bij 100 Ω en werkt met hoofdtelefoons vanaf 30 Ω, gevoed door een externe 12 V‑adapter.

Purchased as a headphone amp to drive a simple in-ear monitor used with a synth module. The2 sizes of headphone jacks and mono/stereo switch caught my attention. Had been using an old battery-poweredRadio Shack earphone amp,but wanted something with a level control and more dependable (external) power. Checked it out with a pair of Sennheiser 280 Pro full-ear phones and a pair of higher-end Sony ear buds. The MA400's gain falls far short of the Radio Shack amp. TheBehringer HA400 is louder than both. If gainis what you want, go for the HA400.If youneedto mix in amicrophone and need the extra flexibility, all at the expense of volume, go with the MA400.

I bought this to amplify the headphone output from my laptop. It was much quieter with it. I tried it on several sources with different combinations of plugin. I would say it was made to be a little mic mixer and they threw the name amp on it. It's quieter than without it.

So happy with the first unit, I had to buy a second one for my home studio...Have use in live situations as well and the sound is pretty descent went connected to an AUX coming from the mixing board. It is not that great by itself if you're rehearsing or monitoring a Bass or guitar by itself. Overall is a great little box and one of the cheapest on the market.
