The photos come out really dark, can hardly make anything out - really disappointed

Upgraded from my Instax mini 9 and love how much more the square frame captures! Great camera, great aesthetic and nostalgic way to capture memories

This is a great camera to use, compared to smaller instant options, but it has drawbacks in the form of its bulky size and an inflated price tag.

The Instax Square SQ40 isn’t anything new – it’s really just the (cheaper) SQ1 dressed up in a black vegan leather finish. Slight improvements to low light performance help justify the price hike though, and if you want a square Instax that doesn’t feel like a toy, this is your only option.
