Original power block failed in less than 6 months of purchase with new MacBook Pro. Hopefully, this one will hold up. Works fine .... now?

I needed this charger to support a second stationary location for my MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. It charges the laptop quickly and is everything you would expect from an Apple factory stock charger. There are not good choices for third-party chargers using the USB-C protocol. Independent professional reviews show that most non-Apple chargers may cause damage to the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Don't forget to purchase a charging cable as the charger does NOT come with a cable. I highly recommend the genuine Apple cable.

It's a charger and it works. I wish it had a magnetic detach like the older models. You do have to order the cord separately.

Both ends work as advertised -- one goes into the wall socket and the other accepts USB-C. With both ends connected, power flows through at the right rate. Flawless!
