Microsoft Surface Dock 2 (1GK-00003)

The description of the docking station states that it is manufactured by Microsoft and that technical support will be provided by Microsoft. After 9 months connection the external monitors was lost. Microsoft technical support could not confirm that it was a Microsoft product as the serial number on the box was not in their system and there was no number on the unit. Consequently, they could not provide support or a replacement. Beware of this product and what you are really getting for what may appear to be a bargain price compared to a valid Microsoft product.

This works exactly as it should and let’s you leave the the original charger is your back pack for travel

Be sure to look for the Windows logo and USB C's on the front of the device. Dock 1's are being packaged in Dock 2 boxes.

Tried to use it to drive my external diskplay with a type-C usb cable but got "eror" until I got a Thuderbird C HDMI Cable

I wish the interfaces would work when it wasn’t plugged into the wall but otherwise works very well.
