Novation Impulse 61

This was purchased at a time when I needed a new keyboard and also lacked other controllers for DAW and VSTs parameters and thought I would need these controls. I was initially OK with the keybed, but later regretted the purchase as it didn't seem to be of very good quality (as compared to other pro keyboards & synths). I also initially had problems with the driver & set-up software, meaning …its not quite so user-friendly if you're NOT using Ableton. It does a good job for playing synth and organ parts, but I do wish now that I had gotten the Novation SL Mk II just for better keybed.

Bought is at 250 euro, and that's what it's worth. 350 is too much. Keys, sliders, buttons, potmeters are all plastic and sort of loose. Functions are OK. Next one will be a dedicated keyboard, not a combo of all kinds of functions.

This product its great! For a keyboard MIDI controller with 61 keys its surprising light, the keys have a great touch, and the pads for the price range/ quality of this product are pretty awesome. The faders have a nice sensibility too and resistance. I recommend.

Works as advertised. Excellent, responsive keyboard with plenty of features.

I bought this as a gift for my son. He uses it daily, and has since we bought it almost 5 months ago.Gets all of its power over USB. He uses it with a Macbook pro and a 2009 Mac Pro.B&H made a mistake and did not ship the keyboard in an outer carton. The package box was worked over, I was amazed the keyboard wasn't destroyed and it is working fine 5 months later. To B&H's credit, I mentioned the potential shipping mishap, and they apologized profusely and gave me a small credit. It is nice doing business with them.
