Black & Decker Black&Decker BHFEA640WG

I bought this vacuum sept of 2025, loved the vacuum for all surfaces. I have 2 small children and 3 pets so I am picky with vacuums. This was also my first cordless vacuum. Everything was great until March 2026 I was noticing the vacuum needing to be charged more frequently especially when in the carpet mode. Eventually the vacuum lasted maybe 10 minutes after a full charge, IF that long. I was super disappointed because of the price and quality that I initially thought I had. I did contact customer service and my unit was replaced with no issues (just thankful I had a receipt otherwise I'm not sure I would have received a replacement). I have my new vacuum, my only issue is I'm scared the same battery failure will happen with my new vacuum. I may not go with cordless in the future for this reason. I wish there was a possibility to order a new battery if this happens again.

Have barely had this model for 1 year, and the battery is total junk. I used to be able to vacuum my entire main floor (all hardwood) about 850 sqft, but now I can only do one room before I have to charge it again. Very inconvenient and now it's just a waste of wall space.

I purchased this vacuum when we purchased our new house. We went to a Tri level from a single level home and I didn’t want to drag my conventional vacuum up and down the stairs. Downstairs is mostly Berber and the upstairs is LVP. I have never owned a cordless. This one worked great and I was amazed at with the suction power and the battery lasted the entire time for the upstairs. The light is super bright and I could see every speck of dust and dog hair that my very hairy dog gets everywhere. Easy to empty canister. The even better part of having a Black and Decker is the customer service. The charging magnet came apart and i was just looking to replace the part since i have owned it for a bit over a year. The customer service guy was so nice and, to my astonishment, they replaced and sent me a new vacuum. Great product and great customer relations which is rare these days. This makes me a customer for life.

Nice look but it’s very heavy, can’t handle with one hand. Very loud and not so powerful cleaning.

All I can say is WOW! I retired a 24 year old canister vacuum and have been searching for something I can handle. I’m 86 years old and i was hoping to get an upright this time. After buying, putting together and trying a Kenmore I not only found the height adjust did not change but it was very hard to push around. My carpet is only 1/4’ thick. I had no trouble putting this together using the pictures on the flap of the box. The instruction manual is terrible. If I can put it together anybody can put it together. I love the fact it’s bagless and cordless, it’s easy to move around. I like the swivel head, dual headlights and narrower head which gets between pieces of furniture I couldn't before. It has great suction and is quiet. It’s worth every penny.
