Philips HR2455/09 Accessory Kit Cookies

I love my pasta maker, I bought all the discs you can find on the market, but I am very disappointed with the cookie set. I would like to try another recipe but not with melted butter, I believe this is why they come out hard from the oven.The taste is not yummy at all.

I received this kit a few days ago. I saw that a lot of reviewers do not like the recipe that comes with the product, so I just used my tried-and-true sugar cookie recipe. It turned out great. I mixed it for longer than the usual mixing cycle. The entire batch of cookies was eaten by the end of the day.

I want to start out saying that I totally agree with the only other rater of this product, who gave these cookie discs only one star, but I must clarify that it is the recipe that stinks not the discs. I used the melted butter as instructed and, yep, the cookies sucked. But, if you use a NORMAL recipe with "just-beyond-softened", room temperature butter added in with all the other dry ingredients, guess what - it turns the texture around and they taste like traditional sugar cookies. They are great discs once you get the right recipe. I just think the Philips test-kitchen geniuses need to go back to the drawing board and rethink the standard recipe, because no matter how many ways you introduce melted butter to the mix...just, no. Great discs though for a GOOD recipe!!

As the second comment said, mix pre melted butter with the dry ingredients and you will get Danish like cookies.

I just loved the quality of the product and the size of the cookie output! the size to make the cookie is ideal! And it came with two molds! my granddaughters loved it!
