Dit is een vervangingsnaald voor het Ortofon 2M Black-element. De naald heeft een Nude Shibata-slijping, een aanbevolen naalddruk van 1,5 g en een opgegeven volgvermogen van 80 µm. Hij is compatibel met meerdere 2M-uitvoeringen, waaronder Bronze en 2MR. De naald is bedoeld voor nauwkeurige weergave bij normaal tot serieus luistergebruik, maar vraagt zorgvuldige afstelling en is niet geschikt voor ruwe handling.

Transformational on my Denon system, brings incredible clarity, especially to the high end. My Aja album has never been played so much! A word of warning though - they are incredibly delicate - I am on my third one. The first I broke due to my anti-skate not being set properly, the second snapped by not slipping the safety guard on properly. Take care of it and it’s worth the price!

It's early days, so this stylus needs a few hundred sides of playing before, as I understand these things, it's worn in. However it's replacing the stylus on a cartridge I've had for many years & has performed really well to my ears. The old one simply wore out. (I suspect a ham-fisted visitor was rough with it as the tip was bent to one side.) Obviously like all hi-fi, it's subjective & YMMV. I have it fitted to a pretty old Rega Planar 3 which it's recommended for by people who appear to know. I'm an amateur so tend to follow the pack. It comes well protected & is very easy to plug & play. Back to spinning my vinyl - happy days.

I purchased the ortophon blue as an upgrade for my late 70’s Sony turntable. It has certainly given greater sensitivity and output through my Arcam amplifier. A very nice detailed cartridge.

I was delighted with the help received. Sean has perfect customer skills, and I appreciated his technical skill, his explanations and his patience. Unfortunately I have not been able to fit the new needle as I can't remove the old one, but I will try again.
