For my young daughters, movies are often boring and stupid. Unless it is of the animated nature. Some hits like Shrek and pretty much all of Disney's classics they love. Now that I have brought it home to view I must say my girls where glued to the seat and really enjoyed this flick from start to finish, and so did I. DreamWorks does it again with a decent looking 4K disc with an servable PQ and most active DTS-X track. A good amount of special features round out the disc.

As beautifully animated as it is charming, Dreamworks's How to Train Your Dragon 4K is perfect for film fans of all ages. The SteelBook's moonlit imagery is simple, stunning, and does an excellent job of capturing the emotional tone of the film in just two graphics. SteelBook collectors, those who have yet to add the film to their collections, or who are seeking to upgrade from a previous release will want to seek out the How to Train Your Dragon 4K SteelBook . Universal's Blu-ray release of How to Train Your Dragon carries over the previous issues 2010 1080p transfer, introduces two new channels to the audio mix, and adds several new extras, takes a few away, and carries over most of the key supplements from the Paramount release. It's a mix-and-match disc that isn't worth upgrading in isolation, but those who do, which will probably be for the new extras, do have incentive to hang on to the old disc as well for the missing extras. Recommended for newcomers, and more than likely a pass for all but the most hardcore fans and collectors.

Universal's and Best Buy's SteelBook is one of the more attractive on the market, a celebration of subtlety, generally, rather than loud visuals meant to draw as many eyes as possible. It's one of the more handsome SteelBooks on the market and, to this reviewer's eyes, bests the impressive SteelBook released for the sequel . Highly recommended.
