Marantz Hifi System MCR612N1SG

Compact all-in-one stereo system with CD playback, radio, wireless streaming and two optical inputs. It is meant for users who want one unit for everyday music and TV audio in a small to medium room. The 2-channel, 2 x 60 W design is enough for normal listening, but it is not built for large spaces or surround sound use.

This unit is compact snd has comprehensive abilities. However, I have found a number of shortcomings. 1. Internet activity causes glitches on dab and fm radio 2. The HEOS app is rather flaky requiring regular restarting. It also loses data regularly such as saved stations. 3. Use with a Denon 150NV smart speaker is somewhat hit and miss. There are regular dropouts despite a strong internet connection. 4. Limited availability of streaming services. Only 5 major ones are included. Overall, whilst it is a compact well priced unit, I will return to separates as there is too much downside for quality listening.
