Before I bought this calculator, I read all the reviews and decided to order it. It was going to take a long time to get to me but I did not mind. All I wanted is a calculator that will work. And sure the wait was worth it. The calculator works really well and the buttons are perfect. The numbers are large enough to see. It's a perfect calculator

Exactly what I wanted - something for the desktop, larger than a handheld but not big or clunky. I've known TI for over 40 years and I was glad to discover this one is still available with its bigger keys and clear display.

I can't believe I've actually been using the same calculator for over 18 years now! The TI-5018 is the AK-47 of the calculator world: It's sturdy, reliable, and takes a beating. I've dropped this thing countless times and popped off the plastic screen cover, but it snaps back together. The keys have good "travel space" and are laid out very similarly to the numeric keypad on your computer's keyboard. The key presses don't feel "mushy"'; when you press a button, you know you've pressed it properly, so you can continue whizzing through whatever math you're doing. It's solar-powered, but still has an "Off" button, not sure why, but it doesn't matter.

I was given this calculator back in 1994 and it has had a huge amount of use. I would say at least 2,000 solid hours and some of it maybe a bit heavy handed! For normal functions, it is perfect and the keys are fantastic to touch, very responsive. I am trying to find another one out there.

This is the best calculator I have ever had, period. I wondered whether or not it has been discontinued; therefore I have bought several of them just to make sure. I still have the first one that I purchased I have no idea how long ago; maybe twenty years or more ago. A couple of keys were getting sticky; that's the reason I needed a new one. Amazing product.
