When it comes to luggage, backpacks etc there is only one go to company and that’s Osprey. Always great quality; a huge range of different items that should meet every need; and such speedy delivery. Their goods may appear pricey but you have to pay for quality and ingenuity.

This bag does everything its says it does and a little more. The capacity is perfect for a days hike, though the material is really thin and that gave me pause around how much weight it can carry. I comfortably managed a complete change of clothes, tablet, waterproof coat, water bottle, snacks and a pencil case! I probably won’t carry anything pointy/with sharp edges as I can’t guarantee it won’t rip. It says water resistant, but I’ve submerged the pack and things kept in the dry bag main stay totally dry - not the little front pocket too though! The pack down size is brilliant, this isn’t going to worry someone who is tight on space, and it’s really easy to do. The straps feel surprisingly comfortable given how little material has been devoted to them. Also, I’m short with a smallish frame and the bag hangs really well on me. Might be a tad small for larger people. Test out if you can!
