De Gillette Mach 3 is een van de populairste cartridge-scheermesjes ter wereld, bekend om zijn scherpe, duurzame mesjes en flexibele kop die makkelijk de contouren van het gezicht volgt. Het ergonomische handvat biedt een goede grip en de lubricatiestrook zorgt voor extra comfort. Het mesje is makkelijk schoon te maken. Aan de andere kant zijn de cartridges relatief duur en voelt het handvat voor sommigen licht en minder stevig. Bij dagelijks gebruik kan het soms snijwondjes of irritatie veroorzaken, en bij langere baardgroei zijn meer passes nodig.
