De Festool ROTEX RO 90 DX FEQ-Plus is een veelzijdige schuurmachine met vier functies: grof schuren, fijn schuren, delta schuren en polijsten. Het apparaat is compact en licht, waardoor het ideaal is voor bovenhands werk en moeilijk bereikbare plekken. De padwissel gaat snel en zonder gereedschap. De stofafzuiging werkt uitstekend bij het ronde pad, maar is minder effectief in delta-modus. De machine is krachtig en heeft een variabele snelheid, maar de aanschafprijs is hoog en het verbruik van schuurpads en accessoires ligt boven gemiddeld. Sommige gebruikers vinden het apparaat zwaar bij langdurig gebruik. Over het algemeen wordt de veelzijdigheid en bouwkwaliteit geprezen, maar de prijs en onderhoudskosten zijn duidelijke nadelen.

My house was built in 1934 and has the original interior doors. Lead painted doors. With the vacuum I feel pretty safe removing paint down to bare wood. I use it on the window and door trim. Lots of sand paper choices. Easy to handle. 2 speeds, 2 orbital modes, light weight. Don’t let the small size fool you. In fact it makes it more useful. If you are trying to decide which sander to get, get this one.

I own all three 150,125, and 90 as well as the linear sander. I have been restoring a turn of century wood home, refinished floors, painted whole thing, decks etc. I like the 90 the most. Its spins faster than the others and its power is more impressive. You expect the 150 to be a workhorse....but the 90 being smaller for detail should not be overlooked - as it really tears through lead paint or whatever you put it to. Dual modes is nice, but the real value is the triangular extension accessory which basically makes it a DTS 400...even uses the same paper.

If amazon can manage to send me the right tool I'll be sure to give it a rating that is fair. It seems like it might be the perfect tool for the job, and I've used a demo version a few times. What I can say from that experience is that it's very powerful and like many jobs out there, there is a right tool and a wrong tool. And this tool is no exception. You can't use it for every job, but when you need what it can offer it probably comes in very handy. And that's priceless.
