De Oakley Mod1 Pro Helm Heren Matte Iron Red in maat L is ontwikkeld voor serieuze ski- en snowboarders die duurzame bescherming en een strakke look combineren. De Dura-Matter buitenschaal is duidelijk steviger dan bij lichtere in-mold helmen en help beter bestand te zijn tegen krassen en deuken bij intensief gebruik in het park of off-piste. Dankzij MIPS en het Skull Matrix-systeem, dat de BOA 360-fit direct koppelt aan de binnenconstructie, vormt de helm zich strak rond het hoofd en blijft hij stabiel zitten, wat extra vertrouwen geeft bij hogere snelheden en agressieve lijnen. De vaste ventilatie en nette integratie met goggles beperken het beslaan van lenzen en voeren warmte af, terwijl de afneembare, wasbare voering en oorpads zorgen dat de helm fris blijft tijdens een heel seizoen gebruik. Wel moeten kopers rekening houden met het hogere prijskaartje, het iets hogere gewicht dan minimalistische toermodellen en het feit dat de ventilatie niet instelbaar is, waardoor de helm vooral uitblinkt in koude tot gematigde omstandigheden.

I measured my head and the helmet fit my head perfectly. But the ear flaps stuck out too far and are not flush to my ears. They would not keep my ears warn. Returned.

The helmet (Mod1) looks good, but the inner lining material is rough on the skin, especially on the forehead, and lacks padding. The goggle clip at the back is not flexible at all and can't hold the goggle band underneath; it will break if I push the band further. I have already sent the photos to OakleySocialCSE, but no reply yet and I doubt they will act on it to improve their product based on my recent experience with Oakley CS.
