De Garmin Descent G2 Black met zwarte band is een duikcomputer in horloge‑vorm met een 1,2‑inch AMOLED‑scherm en waterdichtheid tot 100 meter.[1][2][4][7] Hij ondersteunt meerdere duikmodi, waaronder multigas en CCR, en gebruikt een decompressiemodel op basis van Bühlmann ZHL‑16c.[1][2][7] Daarnaast biedt hij GNSS‑positionering, gezondheidssensoren en geheugen voor het loggen van duiken en dagelijkse activiteiten.[1][2][4][7]

I’ve actually had the Descent Solar for several years. I’m an advanced diver, and have logged a couple hundred dives on this smart watch/diver computer. It’s my back-up computer to my primary Suunto and gauge dive computers. Over the years, we’ve had multiple times when dive computers fail, and as my depth, experience, and travels have grown, a backup smart watch type computer that had multiple functions is a perfect compliment. The best thing about it is that the user interface for dive profiles, logging dives, gaining important information like water temp, entry and exit point, heart rate, and other health stats far exceed my standard dive computers, and I can download all the detail on the Garmin Dive app. I’m upgrading to the Descent G2, and passing along my original Descent Solar to my son, who just got scuba certified. It is a GREAT backup computer.
