Excellent upgrade on the S60 that I used before. I am very happy and highly impressed with this purchase, I consider this an excellent investment at the price. I recommend this to anyone based on the comments above.

Amoled 43mm rose with gray. Nice quality. Nice feminine color takes away the bulky appearance. Got it to have map available rather than pulling out garmin edge. And to be able to activate my mini 3+ which uses iridium ( better satellites for mountains/forests than satellites used for Prowatches). It's a bit heavy and large for my 6" wrist compared to my Apple Watch but I think it will provide the features I need and am still learning. I can wear the Apple Watch when I'm not doing something active. Apple Watch when running on cellular and music dies in an hour so the ultra running sat comm would be far worse.

11 days in and no regrets. The watch only had about 50% of a charge when I unboxed it and it's only just now plugged in. The screen is amazing. I cannot tell you how much better it is then any of my previous Fenix watches. I can read my watch in any lighting conditions, with or without polarized sunglasses on. The new GUI is a cleaner more intuitive system, built on the same core organization as older Fenix models too. All the same functionality and reliability you've come to expect from the Fenix line (and Garmin), with a plethora of new features to investigate that are more than just a "new paint job" so to speak. My favorite so far is the relocation of the flashlight to the front side of the watch case, which is far more user friendly and more ergonomic than trying to twist the top of your wrist to face where you wanted to see, simultaneously preventing you from adjusting the settings.

I have been using the Garmin Forerunner for the past 10 (gulp) years and it was time for a new watch. I have had my eyes on the Garmin fenix series for some time and the price was too good to pass up with the Annual Sale moment. It is pretty easy to use and I got the one thing I have always wanted -- running with out my phone as I can download Spotify playlists pretty seamlessly to this watch. A small little bug on set up that my buddy Claude had to help me through, but all in all would totally recommend this watch!

I switched from an Apple Watch to the Garmin Fenix 8. I love the enhanced fitness, health, and activity features. I haven’t used my Apple Watch since. Thanks Garmin and REI!
