I decided to go for a meatier gauge to thicken up the bottom end, but it’s not really my bag. Lovely strings, quite bright, but not as flexible as my normal Ernie Ball Slinkies. Not a bad review, just me selecting wrong

I've used various different makes & gauges on various different basses. I was expecting these to bring my active T Bird back to life. Instead they haven't got the ping or clatter of other round wounds but have a really rough feel. Agricultural grade cable that's really tough on your hands and probably your frets. I even went for the lighter 40s gauge.Choose any alternative.

I bought them as a gift to my boyfriend as he suffers with hyperhidrosis so he tends to sweat more than normal and these strings are designated to cope with the extra task and they have been fab so far
