Manfrotto Spiked foot set 160SPK3

I am up to my second set of these indispensable spikes, having worn down the points over 10 years of hard use on my Manfrotto 190CX3. My only criticism, which also applies to Manfrotto tripod hardware too, is the poor quality nuts and bolts that are prone to corrosion: I replaced these years ago with marine-grade stainless steel allen bolts and friction-lock nuts. TRIPODS AS CARRY-ON In view of current and ongoing airline security, it is best to *remove these feet* and store them in checked luggage before carrying the tripod as carry-on, as there exists the possibility of the tripod being declared and confiscated at Security. This is of course on the proviso your usual airline allows you to carry a tripod on board.

I noticed that a lot of new tripods come with these as standard equipment, so i started searching for some for my ( old 7-8 yrs ) Manfrotto 055CX Pro4 Carbon Fiber tripod . Ordered these, put them on & i am really happy. Great product. Thank you B & H

Going to Alaska for winter photography and needed to change out the rubber tips for something that works on ice and snow. Easy to install and has the screwdriver in the backage!

This spiked foot set does as it is intended to do. Installation was very easy.

Have these retractable spike feet on both aluminum and carbon fiber tripods because of the ability to quickly adapt to indoor or outdoor surfaces. Truthfully, these retractable spike feet should be standard with Manfrotto carbon fiber tripods, not an option. Lower cost tripods, I understand these feet being optional.
