De Philips STH3020/10 handstomer biedt een praktische oplossing voor het snel opfrissen van kleding zonder strijkplank. Het apparaat warmt in circa 30 seconden op en werkt uitstekend op katoenen t-shirts en alledaagse kledingstukken. De compacte, opvouwbare vormgeving met meegeleverde reistas maakt het ideaal voor reizen. Kopers moeten wel rekening houden met het kleine waterreservoir van 120ml, waardoor je regelmatig moet bijvullen - vaak na elk kledingstuk. Verschillende gebruikers melden problemen met waterdruppels die kleding nat maken, vooral aan de achterkant. Voor hardnekkige kreukels in linnen of gestreken overhemden presteert het apparaat minder goed dan een traditioneel strijkijzer en kost het meer tijd. De stomer is vooral geschikt voor snel opfrissen van enkele items, niet voor grote strijkbeurten. Bij hard water kan kalkaanslag optreden. Positief is dat het apparaat veilig is voor delicate stoffen zonder risico op brandplekken.

For a small, travel-sized steamer there is nothing to complain about. The steamer heats up quickly and does the job on a decent variety of fabrics and garments. If you have a proper steamer at home and are looking to downsize, this is in no way a replacement. This will not smooth out a business shirt, not a miracle worker but a great product in comparison to other travel steamers on the market.
