Behringer TD-3-BK Analog Bass Line Synthesizer Zwart

I bought a used one. I changed the old 12ax7 Brugera for a 12au7 G.E NOS, but the loss of gain was too much. I finally put a 12ax7 JJ, and I am satisfied. The sound ranges from a light blues overdrive , to a 70s rock crunch. By mixing it with a chorus, I can achieve incredible distortion. It's a good deal.

This is a super tube distortion pedal, and shockingly, it is both quality, and affordable. Many of the other tube distortion pedals are upwards of two to three hundred dollars. The only complaint I have is, the standard 12AX7 tube that comes with the unit is not very good, and it affects the great tone negatively. I went through five or six tubes till I found a couple that work far better. I got excellent results with a Sovtek 12AX7WA, and even better results out of an electro harmonic 12AX7 preamp tube. I think this is a well designed effect pedal, and an incredible buy for $.

Got this to go low gain and sweeten a solid state amp. Put a lower gain tube in 12at7 and it does fine. Really shines when you scoop the mids and crank it, but I don't play that way! If you want 70's rock distortion, look no further.

All i got to say is don't let the name fool you. just because it's not a boutique or highly recommendable brand doesn't mean it's trash. I would call it a overdrive/dist driver. It does it very well. I am glad i am here to witness what a good dist/drive box it's. Lets not be arrogant, this is a tube driven box. hello, it will replace some of your drives shockingly.

The pedal sounds really nice, it's very responsive to even the slightest of changes in the settings. Is doesn't have a really variable sound, as it will always stay quite warm and round, but thats also the case with almost every tube overdrive I've come across... Someone may dislike the true-bypass on the pedal, but it suits me perfectly...
