De Sony Bravia 5 75" XR Mini-led (2025) biedt sterke upscaling en levendige kleuren, waardoor hij goed presteert bij standaard tv-kijken en in lichte kamers. Voor gamers zijn moderne functies als 4K/120Hz en VRR aanwezig, maar slechts twee HDMI 2.1-poorten kunnen een beperking zijn. De Mini-LED backlight zorgt voor beter contrast dan gewone LED-tv’s, maar de HDR-ervaring is minder indrukwekkend door de matige helderheid. Kijkhoeken zijn beperkt en snelle games kunnen last hebben van wazige bewegingen. Directe lichtreflecties zijn storend, dus een goede plaatsing is belangrijk. Over het algemeen is dit een degelijke tv voor dagelijks gebruik, maar niet de beste keuze voor wie topkwaliteit HDR of breed kijken zoekt.

The Google TV interface is smooth and easy to use, while the sound quality is surprisingly good for a flat-screen TV. Got this TV as a warranty replacement for a 9month old Sony XR50X90 TV which suffered a screen failure, Had a few minor software glitches with restarting now set updates to manual, TV guide has not been correct and eventually updates, Lost my Google TV account. Hopefully will settle down.

Last year we purchased a 77" Sony OLED for our lounge and have been very happy with it.. This year we needed to replace a second set in our kitchen, dining area. Happy with the Sony product but knowing that one would often get paused for longer periods, letting out our dogs for example. We opted not to go with an OLED set - instead opting for Sony's mini LED offering, with a 65" screen. The mini LED picture is again first class - with the mini LED technology protecting us (or its screen) from burn in if paused for longer periods.

The tv was an insurance replacement from a previous Sony which I loved , Hopefully this new one is as good as the last one only time will tell.
