De Logitech G512 Carbon met GX Brown switches staat bekend om zijn stevige aluminium behuizing en prettige, tactiele typervaring. De toetsen geven duidelijke feedback zonder te luid te zijn, wat fijn is voor zowel gamen als typen. De RGB-verlichting is volledig aanpasbaar, maar de secundaire tekens op de toetsen zijn slecht zichtbaar in het donker. Er is geen polssteun inbegrepen en de dikke, vaste kabel kan onhandig zijn op kleinere bureaus. Ook kun je het toetsenbord maar in één hoek kantelen. Over het algemeen is dit een solide keuze voor wie een duurzame, responsieve mechanische toetsenbord zoekt, maar houd rekening met de genoemde nadelen.

As this is my first mechanical keyboard, the Logitech G512 Carbon with GX Brown switches is really nice to type on, with a smooth but tactile feel that makes both everyday use and gaming feel very satisfying. The keyboard has a reassuring weight to it, which helps it stay put on the desk and gives it a solid, premium feel overall.

My son is very happy with this keyboard. The only issue is the height of the keys and the strain on the wrists.

Q: When is a backlit keyboard not really a backlit keyboard. A: When all the secondary keys are not backlit (by design) - see photo. I've owned many backlit keyboards over many years and I have never come across such an issue as this. I prefer to work in low light environments and that preference leads me to purchase and use backlit keyboards. On the Logitech G512 Carbon you cannot see\read the secondary keys in low light when using the back light so this keyboard is basically useless for the environment it was designed for. How did this even get past the design stage let alone final approval? I do not recommend this product.
