At the end of the day, this is a premium webcam for people who take their streaming (or their Zoom calls) seriously. It’s a bit strange that HP appears to have positioned the 960 as a powerful video conferencing camera, since its name - and the promotional images on the HP website - put it more as a device for streamers and artists. Despite this case of confused identity, though, the HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam is still a stellar product. If HP can iron out the kinks with the new Poly Lens desktop app, it could prove to be one of the best options out there for both office professionals and content creators.

The HP 960 4K Streaming Webcam is an excellent webcam for those wanting a detailed image alongside some fantastic software. It may have a bulky chassis, but its image quality is excellent especially with HDR on. The software and features it contains make this one of the most packed webcams I've tested and add a lot in the way of quality of life to ensure a convenient experience. Just watch out for its high price, which may be a major turn off for some.

Some screens come without a webcam but there are times when one is required and indeed these may require better resolution so a 4K webcam has its place, this offering from HP is quite chunky and because of the higher resolution it needs to be connected via USB3.
