This offers a small but noticeable improvement over the red option so for the extra bit of cash i think its worth it. As a daily listener these seem to last 2-3 years which is good value too.

I have just resurrected my Mitchell Engineering Transcription Turntable, NAD 3020A Amp and B&W speakers but felt I wasn't doing the system justice with the old cartridge. Some good advice and a little research lead me to the Ortofon 2m Red which I must say has made a big difference. I am sure there are some even better cartridges but for the money this is a top notch addition to my setup.

Great sounding cartridge which tracks well and easy to align

I was after cartridge for the PL-12D turntable.I decided on to the Nagaoka PM-110 with premounted headshell to avoid fidgeting with the lead wires. Only a cartridge in stock...I was offered the Ortofon 2M Red. I've read some good reviews and vent for it like an experiment to fit on the Pioneer stock headshell. Difference is noticeable, more ' detailed ' sound after AT-VM95E. Staff was very knowledgeable and of great help. Lovely shopping in Richer Sounds, thank you.
