Excellent lens I know it cost quite a bit but the quality and sharpness out weights the cost if you can afford it get it you won't be disappointed great service from wex and delivered on time now to take more photos

I purchased this -mm f. Nikkor to replace a traded in -mm f. Nikkor originally purchased in . Wow, things have moved on considerably. The old lens had a button to enable macro close focus. This new lens needs no button and focuses easily close enough. The zoom range is also a lot wider removing the need for mm and mm lenses. The VR capability allows hand held use in low light as an added bonus. I don't miss the aperture ring as I always use the body controls anyway. One very nice lens. Thanks guys.
