Pentax Reflexlens SMC-DA 35 mm f/2.4 AL Zwart

I am using this lens on a Pentax K-5, which is APSC, producing a full-frame equivalent focal length of 52.5mm. It is very light and takes up little room, so carrying it along with other lenses is no problem. Using this lens helped me take better photos of the houses along small, narrow streets, compared with using my 50mm (75mm full-frame equivalent.) Its also great for portraits, especially if you need to capture a bit of background. Its a great buy, especially at this price.

I use pentax DSLR for a decade or so. I also use film Pentax SLRs from time to time. I own and used a few vintage primes including the Pentax-M 35/2. This is my first modern prime. Bought it a few weeks ago and used it with ky new KP during a trip abroad, specifically during a day trip in the city. Size and weight wise it is a very good match to the small KP. Images are sharp at f=2.4 and very sharp at 4. Bokeh is nothing to write home about and CA may be an issue in some cases. The body and mount are plastic, but it feels like the better type of that material. It is far from perfect, but for the price paid and for its size, it is an amazing piece of glass.

I use this lens with a Pentax K-01 APS-C camera and have been very pleased with the results. Its lightweight, auto-focus is quick and quiet and the effects have been pleasing. Its exactly what I wanted and hoped for.

Surprised by this little lens. It as good as any crazy expensive lens... at a budget price. Super sharp, beautiful bokeh, and f2.8 for low light. It is a bit noisy and plastic-y feeling but the glass is not. Pro level lens. Too inexpensive to pass up. I am glad i bought it! 35mm is also a great focal length to have in your arsenal.

Good Points: Very good image quality. Closest aps-c lens to full frame 50mm. Very light. F2.4 Value for money it amazing. Pin sharp when stopped down. Improvement Points: No weather sealing. Plastic construction. Soft at the edges when shot at low apertures. Chromatic aberrations in some light.
