De OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II biedt uitstekende beeldstabilisatie, weerbestendigheid en geavanceerde computatiefotografie, waardoor hij ideaal is voor avontuurlijke fotografen. De snelle autofocus en het lichte, compacte ontwerp maken hem geschikt voor reizen en outdoor-gebruik. Nadelen zijn de 20MP sensor, die minder detail biedt dan sommige concurrenten, en de enkele SD-kaartsleuf. De batterijduur is gemiddeld. Voor creatieve en reislustige fotografen is dit een veelzijdige en betrouwbare camera.

Still familiarising myself with the camera but my initial feelings are that it is a high quality piece of kit. Having owned the Olympus OM-D-E mark iii being able to easily find options and settings with the new menus is wonderful and doubtless, as I have already done, I will find options that I didn't know existed on the earlier camera. Glad that I made the trade in!!

Very compact and lightweight. (People with big hands may struggle.) Gives excellent results and is easy to use once you have navigated the many menus. Two minor downsides it’s very easy to catch the arrow pad whilst using the camera and the cover for the USB socket is quite flimsy.

The OM-5 Mark II is one of the most affordable mirrorless cameras you can get with full IP53 weather protection, but lags behind entry-level alternatives when it comes to imaging prowess.
