De Sangean WFR-15 BT combineert een retro design met moderne functies zoals Bluetooth en NFC, waardoor draadloos streamen eenvoudig is. De radio staat bekend om zijn uitstekende AM/FM ontvangst en diepe bas, mede dankzij de echte walnoot houten kast. Er zijn echter geen DAB+ of internetradio opties en het apparaat werkt alleen op netstroom. Ook zijn de geluidsinstellingen beperkt tot bascompensatie. Dit model is ideaal voor liefhebbers van klassieke radio met een moderne twist, maar minder geschikt voor wie digitale radio of draagbaarheid zoekt.

We bought this last year and it's still just as good as it was brand new. Great sound quality, very petit-cute, would recommend to any family member for sure.

This radio is without a doubt the worst performing AM radio I have ever owned. Truly awful. Poor noise suppression. Poor sensitivity. Poor selectivity. Even local AM stations were hard to listen too. Tried adding an external AM loop antenna and that did nothing to improve reception. FM is ok for local stations but if you plan on ever listening to AM radio this radio is a poor choice. Sangean should have focused on performance instead of cosmetics. Returned the radio and replaced it with the Panasonic RF-2400D, what a difference! The Panasonic has superb AM and FM performance and works on batteries and 120V AC. First listen on the AM band and I pulled in Charlotte North Carolina which is 1200Km away from my location in the greater Toronto area! The Panasonic is almost $100 cheaper than the Sangean WR-15WL too. Sangean needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Used in my garage workshop. The tuner works well and the sound is well balanced, no need for tone controls.

Great table radio, picked this WR-15 over the horizontal one (Sangean WR-11) because the WR-11 doesn't include an "Aux" switch, which this one has. This allows you to leave your phone or mp3 player plugged in and just switch to the radio when wanted, instead of having to unplug it. The sound is excellent and it can go very loud, but be sure to keep it about a foot from a wall in order not to block the speaker port on the back. I did buy a separate FM antenna that screws into the coax port on the back, however, as it turns out, reception is excellent without it, possibly even better so I took it off as it was unnecessary. I'm very pleased.
