De DJI Mini 2 Intelligent Flight Battery staat bekend om zijn lange vliegtijd: tot ongeveer 31 minuten in ideale omstandigheden, al melden veel gebruikers in de praktijk eerder 23 tot 26 minuten per lading. De ingebouwde elektronica bewaakt spanning, temperatuur en laadcycli en toont de status direct in de DJI Fly-app, wat het plannen van vluchten makkelijker en veiliger maakt. Een belangrijk pluspunt is de automatische ontlaadfunctie, die de accu na enkele dagen opslag iets leeg laat lopen om zwelling en slijtage te beperken. Daar staat tegenover dat de accu relatief duur is en alleen in de Mini 2 gebruikt kan worden, waardoor overstappen naar een andere drone minder flexibel is. Voor wie langere sessies wil vliegen en waarde hecht aan betrouwbaarheid en veiligheid, is een extra originele accu echter voor veel kopers de investering waard.
