PES 2016 voor Xbox One biedt een zeer vloeiende en responsieve voetbalervaring dankzij de stabiele 60fps en uitgebreide animaties. De Master League modus is sterk verbeterd en zorgt voor veel diepgang. Spelers en teams voelen uniek aan, wat het realisme vergroot. Wel zijn de grafische details minder scherp dan bij FIFA, en het spel heeft beperkte licenties. Het commentaar en de sfeer in het stadion zijn matig, en scheidsrechters zijn vaak inconsistent. Voor liefhebbers van gameplay en tactiek is dit een sterke keuze, maar wie veel waarde hecht aan presentatie en officiële licenties moet rekening houden met deze beperkingen.

Far superior gameplay over rivals FIFA with a catch. The game is simply beautiful, both graphics wise and gameplay. However! Due to licensing rights there is only a set amount of teams that are actually kitted up in the real world kits and sponsors and the names of some of the players are somewhat incorrect. The team names are incomplete and the cup names are messed up, however if you have the time and patience you are more than capable of editing the names of all cups, teams and players. All in all, if you can look past the licensing issues then this is without a doubt one of the most immersive football simulation games out there!
