Dungeons 3 biedt een lange en gevarieerde singleplayercampagne met veel humor en volledig ingesproken dialogen. De combinatie van dungeon building en real-time strategy zorgt voor afwisseling, en de kleurrijke grafische stijl maakt het aantrekkelijk om te spelen. Wel kan de gameplay na verloop van tijd wat repetitief aanvoelen, vooral voor ervaren spelers die snel de optimale strategie vinden. De humor en het verhaal zijn niet voor iedereen, soms wat flauw. Over het algemeen is het een sterke keuze voor fans van het genre, maar wie op zoek is naar constante uitdaging of diepgaande strategie kan teleurgesteld raken.

Way to much back and forth with characters. Story is a bit rough, and understanding the gameplay along with the objective definitely needs some help. Nice graphics, and definitely a nod at Warcraft/Diablo, but still needs some work.

The narrative is just awful... It tries so desperately hard to try and be funny by breaking the fourth wall and throwing as many fantasy pop culture jokes out as possible. Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings, and even Star Wars puns are dropped in nearly every other sentence. It doesn't take itself seriously and neither can I. One thing I liked is adding a new layer of gameplay by also visiting the surface world. This falls short however, as strategic building and army management is simplified to the point where there is no real challenge. It is inferior in every sense when compared to Dungeon Keeper, but the one redeeming quality is carving out your own dungeon and building rooms still provides amusement.

This game has some mixed reviews and I had a few initial concerns, but after playing it for a few hours, I can tell you its fun and hiliarious. The jokes come heavy, but I think they're funny. The gameplay itself is challenging, but very fun.

I really enjoy the mechanics of this game. The missions coupled with the battle system are great. Hours upon hours of fun.
