Plugged it in. It didn't work, and it made me think something with my new video card was wrong - the computer would turn on, fans were spinning, but it wouldn't transmit a signal to the monitor. Computer did not go back to normal until I removed this. I returned it.

I was a bit worried that this wouldn't work in my HP Z420 which had previously contained a Samsung 1x8gb DIMM ECC but it seems to work just fine. Very happy with the product.

This appeared to be the correct part, But it did not work when I put it in my PC. I really haven't seen defective memory in a long time. However, the Return was handled quickly and a credit was issued back without any issues.
