My stylist used this on my hair for the first time today and I liked it so much that I bought some. I have fine, thin hair, cut in a layered bob style and I don't usually use pomade or molding/texturizing pastes. After telling me that she'd had success using it on other fine-haired clients, my stylist used a tiny pea-sized smear and then rubbed her palms together before scrunching it through the crown of my hair. I'm sure I'll have to be careful to avoid using too much...but I was really happy with the result. My hair felt/looked volumized and styled really well without the heavy, sticky feeling that I often experience with volumizing products. Great stuff!

I have curly, somewhat coarse hair, and have never had a gel product that would hold the curl. This one does. I looked for di-fi brand for the longest time and couldn't find it. Then found American Crew, and it seems that two product lines are connected or one bought out the other. This is the version described as molding paste with high shine, not matte. And it is pretty shiny. I only could find it in a barber shop. Anyway, this is much easier to wash out than the KMS Hair Play, which is also $4 more expensive. At $8, it's a good deal, does the job, and washes out without building up and weighing my hair down.

Yet ANOTHER one of those supposedly 'matte' finish hair gunks that is actually NOT matte!! Arggh! This is similar to a lot of new wave hair putties and creams in having a strong fragrance, pina colada in this instance, which youngsters tend to like (well, even I liked it when I was 25). The hold is modest and it wasn't really up to scratch back in the days when I sported the spiky, messy style. Not recommended.

I have very thick & curly hair find this to be great stuff. I have had some problems figuring out how much to use. If I use too much my hair feels awful - sort of sticky & slick . .a little slimy. If I use too little my hair gets frizzy (which can be fixed with Aveda's humuctent or Redken's Ringlet). If I get it just right - my hair looks as springy-curlythe second day as it did the first - and that is a treat.

Oooh D:fi D:struct pliable molding creme. One of my fav hair products ever. Tied with Beadhead's "Hard to Get". The scent is wonderful-pina colada! Great hold, non-greasy and the product I turn to when my hair just will not behave. Love it for short, spikey, somewhat messy look. Matte finish and can be used in both wet and dry hair but I prefer it as a finishing product. Can be hard to find and the price isn't too bad considering you really don't need a lot. Great for ladies and guys!
