De Sony WH-1000XM5 Roze biedt uitstekende noise cancelling en een helder, gedetailleerd geluid, waardoor hij ideaal is voor muziek en reizen. De batterij gaat lang mee en het draagcomfort is hoog, zelfs bij langdurig gebruik. De microfoons zorgen voor goede gesprekskwaliteit. Nadelen zijn dat de hoofdtelefoon niet opvouwbaar is, wat minder handig is voor onderweg, en dat de bouwkwaliteit iets minder luxe aanvoelt dan bij eerdere modellen. Bij kleinere hoofden kan de hoofdband wat druk geven en bij veel bas kan het geluid soms wat modderig worden. Over het algemeen is dit een topkeuze voor wie op zoek is naar premium draadloze hoofdtelefoons met sterke noise cancelling.

Wel vind ik het een gemiste kans dat deze koptelefoon niet opvouwbaar is; hierdoor neemt hij tijdens het reizen vrij veel ruimte in beslag. Verder is het, zoals we van Sony gewend zijn, een koptelefoon van uitstekende kwaliteit.

Service from Richer Sounds Nottingham was excellent, gave me time to compare headsets in listening room and price was comparable to internet. As with everything you get what you pay for, the Sony WH1000XM5’s are good, and sound cancelling also good, but not the best you can buy. Other slight negative is they do move on your head if you look down. For me they are still a very good buy, and definitely value for money.

They sound great, if you don't ask the wrong things of them, the bass is good but you can't wellie it as it distorts. But it is a good sound hardly any white noise would buy them again. Not been able to get 90 hours out of the battery yet, but what I get is acceptable.
