The X56 Hotas is technically a good simulator even if rather complicated to configure for some games like DCS. It is also very bulky and it is necessary to secure it to have an acceptable gaming experience, which slightly limits the setup of this equipment on a simulator or a desk.

Good equipment, as described on the page. Price a bit high, but not unreasonable. The configuration software is fairly intuitive and works well, but I had to download it separately.

I'm disgusted, the 'soft' plastics have become all sticky in not even 8 months. Irredeemable after several searches, my stick had to spend too much time in the warehouse before being sold to me, whereas at home I even have covers to protect it. The LDLC hotline, which was efficient and competent, told me that the plastic defect was not covered by the warranty. I would have liked them to offer me a discount on a sol-r2, I would have agreed to pay the difference but they refused. As a regular LDLC customer, I am very sorry about this experience.

I bought this product in November 2024. The throttle broke on 5 August 2025 while I was playing peacefully. I wasn't forcing it because I had reduced the resistance of the throttle to the maximum and I was just trading in Elite Dangerous, not even fighting. A few days before the breakage, some play appeared in the right gas controller before it broke. The one on the left has no problems and is still solid, so it's not down to the way I play.
