De PlayStation Portal Remote Player Midnight Black is ideaal voor PS5-bezitters die flexibel willen gamen zonder de tv te gebruiken. Het apparaat ligt zeer comfortabel in de hand en het grote LCD-scherm biedt een prettige kijkervaring. De prestaties zijn uitstekend zolang je wifi stabiel is, en de batterijduur is ruim voldoende voor lange speelsessies. Wel is het apparaat volledig afhankelijk van een PS5 en werkt het niet zelfstandig. Ook ontbreekt Bluetooth voor draadloze hoofdtelefoons, en is het scherm beperkt tot 1080p zonder OLED of HDR. Voor wie vooral thuis wil gamen en flexibiliteit zoekt, is dit een sterke keuze, maar verwacht geen volwaardige handheld-console.

I’m a bit disappointed mainly because PS Plus cloud games are still not available in South Africa, and it’s unclear if or when this will change (once it does then definitely that will bump up the portal to 4 or 5 star). You also need a very stable internet connection otherwise the screen quality drops noticeably and affects gameplay. Otherwise under ideal conditions its fine

Doesn’t work without a PS5, or with the PS5 being off and on a different network. It is USELESS!!!

So far I am really enjoying this, it really is like having a PS5 in your hand, it is fun to play on it anytime wherever you are the only reason that it is not a 5 is because you need to own a PS5 of course and that the PS5 always needs to be on or in rest mode to enjoy, hopefully we will get the cloud function in the future that will assist us to play without having the ps5 on.

I'm definitely giving my Playstation Portal a 5-star rating, but if you decide on a PS Portal as well... the PS portal doesn't work without a Playstation5 console & also needs a strong wifi connection, which, luckily, I have, but otherwise, it's perfect for my needs Take-alot delivery was fast and friendly as always (thank you)
