De Philips L'OR Barista LM8014/60 is populair door de mogelijkheid om twee espresso's tegelijk te zetten en de compatibiliteit met veel soorten aluminium capsules. De 19 bar pompdruk zorgt voor een rijke smaak en de geïntegreerde melkopschuimer maakt het eenvoudig om cappuccino's en lattes te bereiden. Nadelen zijn dat alleen aluminium capsules gebruikt mogen worden, het waterreservoir bij intensief gebruik snel leeg is en het opvangbakje voor gebruikte cups snel vol raakt. Ook ontbreken een display en geavanceerde instellingen, wat voor sommige gebruikers een gemis kan zijn. Over het algemeen is dit een veelzijdige en gebruiksvriendelijke koffiemachine voor liefhebbers van gemak en variatie.

Purchased to replace a Nespresso Citiz machine which was starting to leak. The coffee making side is standard Nespresso with the exception of being able to take the larger capsules and having a dual outlet spout. It works well. The milk frother is better than the Nespresso frother, producing a smoother and more consistent froth. Minor niggles - it's a bit plasticky compared to the Citiz, and the drip tray is a little high for tall cups. Overall, recommended so far.

We picked up this beautiful coffee machine to replace our Nespresso in our caravan. It's pretty good quality and makes coffee almost as well as the Nespresso did. What really makes it special is that it can use two different pod sizes - small or double - which you can find in stores, especially their L'or brand. The machine works with other pod brands too, like Nespresso, Starbucks, and Illy. The milk frother creates silkier foam than Nespresso's frother does, but you need to be quick to stop it or it'll make the milk too frothy. All in all, this machine does what it's supposed to - it makes great coffee. While I wouldn't say it's better than a Nespresso DeLonghi, it's a solid alternative at half the price.

Bij het uitpakken viel al gelijk op hoe degelijk deze machine is. Er zaten al diverse soorten cups bij om te testen. Ideaal dat je uit diverse smaken en diverse grootte kan kiezen. Alle verpakking kan je gemakkelijk verwijderen zonder dat er een lijmlaag achter blijft. Apparaat warmt lekker snel op zodat je snel koffie kan zetten. Tank is in verhouding wat klein, wat ik wel mis is dat je niet kan zien hoe vol het afvalbakje zit. Deze is ook niet erg groot. De aparte melkschuimer werkt super en is makkelijk schoon te maken.
