These are not only revealing, highly analytical speakers in nearfield use, but their sound is well integrated and the imaging is very precise. Musical as well, though, to my ears, there is some stridency near the top end. The EVEs came out on top in a side-by-side shootout with the usual suspects. The smaller SC 205 is similarly accurate, though, predicatbly, the sound lacks body.
