De M-Audio BX5D3 is een populaire studiomonitor met een zeer vlakke frequentierespons en krachtige 100W bi-amp versterking. Dankzij de Acoustic Space Control en veelzijdige aansluitmogelijkheden is hij flexibel inzetbaar in verschillende studio-omgevingen. De monitor levert helder geluid en is compact gebouwd, maar de lage frequenties zijn beperkt en een subwoofer kan nodig zijn voor diepe bas. Sommige gebruikers merken een bult in het bovenste basgebied op, die echter via de instellingen te corrigeren is. Bij hoge volumes kan lichte vervorming optreden. Over het algemeen biedt de BX5D3 uitstekende prestaties voor zijn prijsklasse.

Just a friendly warning: Try to listen to them before buying if possible. These are maybe suitable for studio work but for music listening they are pretty awful. The sound is not warm, it lacks the soul and even after a month it just does not feel right, I did not get used to it. I listen to electronic and guitar+vocal music mostly and I really miss the warmth and the mid range clarity and precision the BX5 lacks. Maybe this is how studio monitors should sound like but definitely you'll get a better pair for the money.

Happy with the speakers. However I get interference. Which I've read can be causes by a power source or interference from other electronics

These really are a great sounding speaker. I have them connected to my Yamaha subwoofer and Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USB audio interface. Totally recommend them. The highs are outstanding and mids are very clear. I have no complaints.
