De Yamaha MG10 staat bekend om zijn zeer schone D-PRE voorversterkers, lage vervorming en stevige metalen behuizing. Dit maakt de mixer populair bij kleine bands, kerken en podcasters die een betrouwbare, compacte analoge tafel zoeken. De bediening is overzichtelijk en de 1-knops compressie helpt om zang en spraak snel onder controle te krijgen zonder veel kennis van techniek. Tegelijk zijn er duidelijke beperkingen: er zijn geen ingebouwde effecten en geen USB-interface, dus voor opnames of reverb heb je extra apparatuur nodig. Ook is er maar één AUX-send en ontbreken solo/mute-knoppen per kanaal, waardoor de MG10 minder flexibel is dan grotere live-mixers. Voor wie vooral een eenvoudige, goed klinkende en draagbare mixer zoekt, is dit echter een sterke keuze.

I have not stage tested this unit yet , however on home test everything worked as expected, sounded great easy to use connections were positive, there was only two things I felt could be better , 1 i would have liked the controls to have a backlight fitted 2 I definitely don’t like the power supply the long leads should be separate items , this would make it easier to carry and less likely to damage the connecting leads , otherwise it seems to be a very good Product Rodders

Bought as a Christmas present for my husband. He was adamant it had to be this one as it was the best analogue one on the market in his opinion.

A bit larger than I thought but has a sturdy build with signs of flimsy parts. It is what you would expect from Yamaha. Has a jack connection and separate volume control for your monitor. Plenty of channels to connect to for solo musicians or a small band. I opted for the version without fx, as I already have a vocal processing pedal that covers these needs. Works well to clean up the sound on my Mackie Thump 12a and sorted the bottom end sound problem I was having with the sound.
