for the price this is a silent and fast un-managed switch, with 6 ports populated I still get around 900mb throughput

Good quality steel chassis switch, however images show 9V DC input, but product received runs on 5V

As a network engineer, all I can say is that it works. It's an 8-port 1gbps desktop switch, and it...switches network packets at the advertised speed. Nothing much to say about this product. It is quite sturdy as this is the metal casing one, meaning it is heavy enough for a few cables not to pull it off the desk. I havent had any issues with it, and works exactly as expected. This is not a managed switch, or a layer 3 switch where you can tag VLANs or configure IPs on interfaces etc, and neither does it advertise itself as being one. Just a pure layer 2 switch that works.
