Fellowes Powershred 10M

This certainly shreds efficiently with securely, small pieces. The cabinet that the cutting head stands on is however very flimsy. I was concerned that it could break as I was fitting it together. I own an older Fellows shredder and it is certainly built more robustly. Considering the vast over production and waste amounts of plastic in our world, I think that building a more robust cabinet should have been considered.

Iu2019ve had a number of Fellowes products over the years, but this is by far the worst. It fails to live up to its specification, canu2019t seem to shred more than one or two sheets of paper at a time and does it very, very slow slowly. It easily overheats, and is making almost unusable in a home office environment.. to say that Iu2019m disappointed is putting it mildly. Plus, I literally only purchased it yesterday.

Replaced a Rexel shredder that finally gave up the ghost after 17 years. Wish I'd bought this years ago, it's so much quieter and shreds more pages more quickly than my old machine.

I have owned and used Fellowes machine before and have been very satisfied. However I recently purchased the Powershred 10M and I have to say I am 100% disappointed. This machines real life performance is WAY short of what is claimed, to be honest it is a total waste of money. Does it shred to P5 standards, yes it does, which is great, if you feed it one page at a time. . However its capacity is way short of what is advertised. It claims to shred 10 sheets of 70grm paper, that is simply not true. I use 80grm paper and it struggles to manage even 3 sheets at a time. This machine is a total disappointment and I have to regard my purchase as a complete waste of money.

Only used one day so far, but for different types of sheets and also for credit cards. Works quite fine, I love it. I hope this product will last.
