Het versnipperde papier valt niet in de opvangbak maar wordt door de draaiende snijrol weer opgepikt. Hierdoor raakt het draaiende mechanisme binnen de kortste keren verstopt en wordt de thermische beveiliging ingeschakeld, waardoor het apparaat in storing gaat. Dit is op te lossen door met bijvoorbeeld een schroevendraaier de snippers uit het draaimechanisme te verwijderen. Het apparaat moet dan een tijd afkoelen voordat het herstart kan worden. Ook is het soms nodig om de stekker een tijd uit de wandcontactdoos te halen. Conclusie: Een onbruikbaar apparaat.

Vlotte levering. Design is goed. Ziet en voelt degelijk aan en de werking is prima, zowel voor papier danwel voor cd's en pasjes. Het gemaakte geluid is niet storend. Prima apparaat voor thuisgebruik en voor een redelijke prijs.

I can only assume that the people that have rated this shredder poorly have tried to put too much paper through it at once. Knowing the propensity of shredders to jam, I think it sensible to put fewer sheets of paper than the maximum through the shredder. As such, we have had no issues with the shredder. It has comfortably dealt with the paper, and has done so much more quietly than our previous shredder. All in all, its a great shredder!

I have this plugged in all the time and switch it on and off as required. Please ignore all negative reviews. If you use this shredder correctly, it will perform brilliantly for you. Best product I have bought recently. The basket doesn't need to be emptied often (if you're only using it for small tasks). I chose this one at a slightly higher price because I didn't want black or grey. Fantastic!
