I have always bought cheap shredders, in the past. This time, I thought I would buy a slightly more expensive one, from a reputable brand. What a mistake! This shredder is constantly jamming up. It goes into reverse, of it's own accord, which then jams up the feed. The shredder is not used much and only usually used for single sheets of paper. I am constantly unclogging the feed. Avoid buying this shredder, at all costs!

Really great but I think of getting a bigger bin if you like to do larger jobs in one sitting

While the shredder is easy to use, it is not robust and continually jams. It will not shred 12 sheets of paper, nowhere near - it struggled beyond about 5 sheets. Clearing the repeated jams took more time than the machine ran productively for, and the paper churned up from the bin back into the shredding mechanism. I’ve packaged it up for a return as I can’t be bothered to persevere with it as it’s obviously faulty, poorly designed, or not sufficiently robust. Don’t waste your money, choose a different shredder.

Won't do 12 pages unless they're of very lightweight paper. Does half a dozen normal weight pages easily and was bought to get rid of lots of old documents which it did very well

Good quality but my gripes are: the operating buttons require a very firm press and there is no auto start when you feed paper, if machine has gone to sleep. The start button must be pressed ( very firmly) again. The paper collection box is so opaque that you cannot see how much paper is there. The machine will auto stop however when full. My previous Rexel had a slide in/out paper box to make it easy to empty, this model requires the (heavy) motor assembly top to be lifted off completely to empty the paper box on which it sits. Just not as user friendly as before. Still a good machine but maybe not for anyone with physical challenges?
