I've owned the Cinema 40 for about a month and after a little patience with the set up it's performing superbly. Lovely sound, super easy to operate, linked power on with the TV is a great feature as is the room sound correction set up, which takes away any harshness of sound or overbearing bass / treble. It's easy to run through, and great to have the on screen prompts to take you through the process. It does get quite warm, so I've drilled some ventilation holes into the shelf.

Mijn bejaarde 11 jaar oude AV reciever van Marantz vervangen door de Cinema 40, super geluid en bedienings gemak. Kost wel wat maar dan heb je ook wat.

Really happy with this cinema 40. After a few weeks of research debating on what to go for I I’m absolutely certain I made the right choice. I really wanted something with good 2 channel stereo and this really impressed me. Switching to pure direct mode you can push the volume up high and it handles it immensely. Cinema side of it is absolutely amazing. Odyssey setup makes it even better.

I had the Yamaha RX-A8A which had given me nothing but problems. This is not the top of the range, but it does everything you need and well. It looks and feels as good as 70s gear (the knob makes all the difference) and the port. It looks expensive and is, but it's good and can be used as a pre-amp AND importantly four discrete sub outs and the best bass management system. I've not had it long but this things is rock solid and I hope it lasts me at least a decade or two. The only upgrade is going into real power amps and using real phono stages. As a pre its actually perfect, much, much better then the Yamaha (apart from the amps on paper) but this is much like the reason you buy an iPhone over an Android not for the paper or features it's cause it's rock solid, causes less stress and lasts longer. I have not spent too long with it and haven't needed to - it behaves as I need out of the box and it's snappy, they haven't cheeped out on the CPU.

They gave great advice beyond the equipment purchased and only sold us what we needed not the most expensive option. Honest people to deal with.
